Voices for Children Across Massachusetts Walk

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – Every child deserves to grow up happy and loved and one organization is walking across the state to raise awareness of the needs of children across Massachusetts.

Sue and Tim Crane, organizers of the Voices for Children Across Massachusetts Walk, shared more about their mission and how you can get involved.

WAYS TO HELP:
1. Walk and have family, friends, and businesses sponsor you and give a donation to support children of MA.
2. Come to an event to find out ways to volunteer.
3. Offer to organize a gathering that highlights programs for children.
4. Share gaps you see in supporting children.

THE WALK
Sue and Tim Crane, organizers of the walk, are a retired social worker and teacher, respectively. They believe children deserve to grow up happy and loved. Along with others, the husband and wife team will begin walking in Boston on Thursday, May 1, 2014 and arrive in Pittsfield on Saturday, May 10. They plan to walk 15 miles per day and travel on Route 9 through 26 towns. Children, adults and families are invited to walk.

THE MESSAGE
To raise awareness of the needs of the children of Massachusetts.

THE GOALS
To have adults and families agree to volunteer their time and resources to support the Commonwealth’s children.
