(WESH) Two teenage victims were bitten by sharks at Florida’s New Smyrna Beach on Friday, according to Volusia County beach patrol officials.
The first bite occurred just before 2 p.m. The victim was a teenage boy from South Carolina. He was on his board when he felt something at his feet.
The shark, which officials said was about 3 or 4 feet long, left minor lacerations on the victim.
The second bite happened about 20 or 30 minutes later, to another teenage boy from Satellite Beach.
He had minor puncture wounds on his left leg, above the knee.
