Falcons win division title again

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – For the second year in a row, the Springfield Falcons have taken the AHL’s Northeast Division title.

The Falcons clinched the division on Sunday afternoon, after the Albany Devils lost 4-3 to the Adirondack Phantoms. Springfield had already clinched a spot in the playoffs following their win over the St. John’s IceCaps on Friday.

The Falcons will now have home ice advantage in the opening round of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
