Ronald McDonald House held fundraiser in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Ronald McDonald House held their biggest fundraiser of the year. They had a gala on Saturday night at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.

They were dancing until the event concluded at midnight. The night included dinner, as well as lots of artists and performers to keep people entertained.

People told 22News what the Ronald McDonald House means to them.

“As soon as you walk in there, no matter what your mood is, no matter what hard day you had, it’s the children that cheer you up. It’s not the other way around,” said Jerry Houle, the organizer of the gala.

“This house being available to families that can’t afford to stay over when they’re child is in need. This is a huge gift and a give back to the community,” said Kathleen Fitzgerald of Wethersfield, CT.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families who’s child is getting medical care.
