Person hit and killed by train in Chester

CHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – A person in Chester was killed after being hit by a train on Saturday afternoon. The Hampden County District Attorney’s Office is leading the investigation. It was around 5:15 on Saturday night when a person was hit and killed by a train.

Police got there and found a body on the tracks. The accident happened where Main Street meets Lower Prospect Street. State Police Sgt. Paul Coakley told 22News that the train did not stop after it hit the person.
