Fugitive from Vermont arrested in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – With information from the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Pittsfield Police located and arrested a federal fugitive from Vermont early Wednesday morning. Loaded handguns and bullet-proof vests were seized in the arrest.

According to the Pittsfield Police facebook page, police served a warrant at a Pittsfield apartment Wednesday morning and arrested the fugitive and one other person.

After thoroughly searching the apartment, police found 3 loaded handguns, 2 bullet-proof vests, 1 with a ceramic protection plates, a protective helmet, a stun gun, 4 bags of cocaine, 1 large bag of marijuana, 2 jars of liquid PCP, digital scales, packaging material and over $4,700 in cash.

Berkshire County Drug Task Force, Massachusetts State Police and United States Marshals Service all assisted the Pittsfield Police Department in serving the arrest warrant.
