Amherst native wins NCAA diving title

Michael Hixon goes to school in Austin, TX

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – A former Amherst Regional High School student won the NCAA Men 1M Championship.

19-year-old Michael Hixon of Amherst won the diving championship with a score of 443.50. Hixon attended the University of Texas in Austin; he graduated from Regional High School in 2013.

In 2nd place was Kristian Ipsen of Stanford, and in 3rd place was Nick McCrory of Duke.
