CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Power was restored to thousands of people who were left in the dark Wednesday night, especially in East Longmeadow and Hampden.
According to the National Grid website, about 4,000 customers were without power around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The power outage was affecting 2,019 customers in East Longmeadow, and 1,944 customers in Hampden. 74 customers in Monson were also without power.
All the power was returned by 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The cause of the outage was still unknown; however, all of western Massachusetts was under a Wind Advisory, Wednesday night, which expired at 8:00 p.m.
