Nissan is recalling nearly a million vehicles in the u-s because some airbags might not work in a crash.
The recall applies to the 2013 and 2014 Altima, Leaf, Pathfinder and Sentra models, the 2013 NV200 Taxi van and Infiniti JX35 SUV and the 2014 Infiniti QX60 and Q50.
Nissan says the vehicles’ computers may not detect an adult in the front passenger seat. When that happens, the air bags will not inflate.
The auto maker is notifying car owners so they can get a free software update at dealerships.
The recall is expected to begin in mid-April.
