New technology for students with sight problems

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – New technology at Amherst Regional High School will enhance a student’s learning abilities.

DaVinci, it’s a monitor with a magnifying glass that enlarges objects by 80 percent. That means at least one student with sight problems at the high school will have a better time reading the blackboard and assignments.

If the student’s eyes get tired, the monitor can read the text aloud for the student. The Amherst Lions Club donated funds to help pay for the cost of this machine.
