CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A new study has found that there may be just as much money to be made in part-time work as there is in full-time work.
The CareerCast study found that the highest-paying part time jobs are accountants, construction managers, and retail supervisors.
Part time workers aren’t always offered the same benefits as those who work more than 35 hours per week, but Sharon Christian of Agawam told 22News that her part-time retail job fulfilled her need to be a mom and work.
“For the most part I was, because I was able to spend more time with my kids and that’s the most important,” Christian said.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates there are currently more than 27 million part-time workers in the nation.
