WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Politics and pancakes went well together in Westfield on Friday.
State Senator Don Humason hosted an informal gathering of western Massachusetts legislators at Pomeroy’s Sugar House. Humason told 22News the lunch hour gathering began when Michael Knapik was still state senator.
“A couple of years ago Senator Knapik and I got the idea to invite our colleagues to come out here in Westfield at Pomeroy’s sugar house, showing off the sugar industry and break bread in a casual way,” said Humason.
Most of the western Massachusetts legislators were there, along with former Senator Knapik who’s now connected with Westfield State College.
