Ronald McDonald House Teen Board holds skating fundraiser

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A skating party for a good cause in Westfield on the second day of spring. The Ronald McDonald House Teen Board held Skating Party Fundraiser at Amelia Park Ice Arena Friday night.

The Teen Board is 24 local high school students who donate their time to kids staying at Ronald McDonald House, either awaiting surgeries or with their parents in various stages of recovery.

“Every Sunday we go and we do activities with the kids to try to take their minds off all the stuff that’s going on,” said Forzano Joseph. “It is just a really great cause because we get to put smiles on their faces.”

In the summertime, the Teen Board puts on car washes to support the Ronald McDonald House.

Amelia Park donated the ice time for Friday night’s fundraiser.
