MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – The town of Monson continues its recovery from the June 1st, 2011 Tornado.  22News previewed the downtown art wall being unveiled on Saturday.

The wall is next to the town hall and police station construction sites. The twister seriously damaged the old town hall.

Peter Barnett of the Monson Arts Council told 22News how the art project will boost morale. “It combines the art wall with the construction site to say this is Monson coming back.”

When the Town Hall and police station are completed in October, the Monson artists may auction off their work to pay for further recovery of the town.
