March Weather Madness

(NBC News) Spring may be just days away but you wouldn’t know it looking at parts of the Northeast.

A winter storm has dumped more than a foot of snow in some areas, leading to flight cancellations, hectic commutes…and for thousand of students, another snow day.

In snow-capped Washington, DC the brutal storm shut down federal buildings and schools.

Those who did have to work trudged over slippery roadways.

The same storm is dumping on parts of New Jersey and Philadelphia, with a mix of freezing rain and snow extending south into North Carolina.
