SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – While it hasn’t warmed up yet, it’s definitely warmer, and that has a lot of women thinking about getting back into shape.
Celebrity fitness and lifestyles guru Donna Richardson led the musical exercise program on Friday night at the Basketball Hall of Fame. It was the first ever Spirit of Women Health and Fitness Expo.
They say if your family obligations get in the way of exercise, then just involve your family.
Teresa Montemayor of Springfield told 22News, “It’s easier to say than do. But once you get out there, there’s so many things that you can do that are easy and free. Like walking, running, bike riding with your family.”
“After a long winter, it’s very important that women can come out and start some type of exercise program. Small steps make really big changes,” said Tracy Whitney of the Baystate Medical Center.
The experts say the key to having a successful exercise program is to make it part of your, and your family’s daily routine.
