SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Officials at Baystate Medical Center are working on ways to improve patient care at the region’s largest hospital, and they are using social media to help them do it.
In a news release sent to 22News Thursday, the hospital announced that they will solicit feedback on patient experiences through the official Baystate Medical Center Facebook page.
Beginning Monday, the page will feature the following message: “Patients, caregivers, and families: We want to hear about your experiences at Baystate Medical Center. Please tell us what we do well, and how we can improve your care.”
The comments will then be used to initiate improvement projects at Baystate, Director of Public Affairs Ben Craft says.
They are looking for both positive and negative feedback regarding experiences at Baystate, but Craft says comments that include inappropriate language, or reveal detailed personal health or treatment information will be deleted to protect patient and employee privacy.
