Talking to Your Kids About Peer Pressure

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – There’s a new dangerous drinking game where teens challenge peers over social media to out do the other with drinks … and the results can be deadly. Bill Corbett, Author of “Love, Limits & Lessons,” told us how you can approach our children about this topic.

What parents can do about this:
No social media accounts until age 16
Ban Internet-enabled devices from bedrooms
Know their friends and the parents of friends
Encourage more physical friends/less virtual friends
Encourage “real-world” activities/involvement
Make your home “teen friendly”
