HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Sunshine and warmth provided a “spring teaser” from Mother nature Tuesday.
Despite the snow on the ground, temperatures soared into the fifties, and people came out to enjoy the day.
Dozens of dog owners brought their pets to Community Field Park in Holyoke. Moms came out with their kids. And joggers ran the route to practice for the Holyoke Saint Patricks road race.
“Ilive along the race route,” Amy Gilburg told 22News.”And you could see the clothes coming off. people are just getting ready for the race. They’re digging the sun. It’s beautiful.”
Chicopee’s Kelly Nehring brought her toddler son and her dogs to the park. “Got some exercise for the little guy. Just some fund with friends and watching the dogs and play at the playground.”
The warmth melted a lot of the snow, turning parts of the field into a muddy mess.
