SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A new Springfield library is home to not only a collection of books, but also an adult literacy program.
The Pine Point Library Express held its grand opening this afternoon.
The library express has a smaller collection of books, but still offers what the public wants most, including public computers, Wi-Fi to support personal devices, and other materials.
“So there’s going to be a combination. There’s adult literacy and kind of what they’re calling a library express,” Jim Leydon, the communication director for Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, said. “We have the computer access and the availability to take books out here or order them from the main branch.”
The library express will be open on Mondays 1-5 pm, Wednesdays 1-6 pm, and Fridays 1-5 pm.
