BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – Facing charges ranging from inciting a riot to underage possession of alcohol, more than 20 people were in court Monday following this weekend’s Blarney Blowout party.
Failure to disperse was the most common of the charges brought against the dozens of young people arraigned at Eastern Hampshire District Court, yet some were facing more serious charges, including resisting arrest and assault & battery on a police officer.

Those arraigned Monday morning were among the 70 people arrested during the annual pre-St. Patrick’s Day party in Amherst. Four police officers received minor injuries Saturday afternoon, as some members of the large crowds began throwing beer bottles, cans, and rocks at the police, who were dressed in riot gear.
