SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Lodge of Elks #61, on Saturday night, honored one of their own with the Irish Elk of the Year award.
Saturday night was all about Charles Crowe, a fifth generation Irish American. He’s been a member of the lodge since 1993.
Over the years, he’s served in leadership roles on many committees. Charlie told 22News what it means to him to receive the award.
“Irish Elk of the year is an honor and a privilege by the members of the Springfield Elks Lodge #61. To be nominated by your peers is a great feeling,” said Crowe.
Crowe was honored at an Irish Dinner Dance held at the lodge on Tiffany Street.
