SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The parent company of Baystate Medical Center has lifted the visitor restrictions that they had in place to prevent the spread of flu.
Baystate Health announced Friday that they have cancelled the restrictions due to a decrease in flu activity.
The policies went into effect in January and were in place at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, and Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware. They included a prohibition on visitors under age 14 and the limiting of the number of visitors per patient to two at a time.
