DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A woman from Vermont was arrested on I-91 in Deerfield over the weekend, after police allegedly found nearly 600 packets of heroin during a traffic stop.

Ashley Trevorrow, 26, of Bellows Falls, Vt. will be arraigned in Greenfield District Court on Monday on charges including possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance and conspiracy to violate the drug law.

According to a news release sent to 22News by State Police Media Relations, on Saturday evening, a trooper pulled over the car Trevorrow was riding in for motor vehicle violations.

On further investigation, state police say the trooper found some 591 small bags of heroin and four ecstasy pills, which Trevorrow admitted belonged to her.

The driver of the car, Ryan Rivett, 22, of Bellows Falls, was issued a criminal complaint and released. Trevorrow was arrested and brought to the Northampton State Police barracks, and was held without bail.

In addition to the previously mentioned charges, Trevorrow is facing a single count of possession of a Class B substance, and had a warrant for failure to appear in Northampton District Court.
