CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is scheduled to hold a surrounding community public forum on Monday in West Springfield.
The gaming commission wants to hear from people in Western Massachusetts about their thoughts on MGM’s casino project in Springfield.
This is meant to be a productive conversation about MGM’s specific plan in Springfield’s South End, not a debate about if gambling should be legal in Massachusetts.
“If you’re against the proposal fine, but if you have ideas on how you they can do it better, how they can improve their proposal, this is not to refight about whether we should have casino gambling in Massachusetts, that war has been fought,” said Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby.
The public hearing starts at 4 PM at the West Springfield Middle School and will continue until all the speakers have spoke.
You have to pre-register to address the commission and you can’t talk for longer than 5 minutes. If you would like to register, Click Here.
