Substitute teacher arraigned in school masturbation case

Michael Luecke is accused of indecent exposure after he was allegedly caught masturbating at a high school in Stamford, Conn. where he worked as a substitute teacher.

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) – A 72-year-old substitute music teacher in Connecticut is denying an indecent exposure allegation, saying it was a wardrobe malfunction instead.

Michael Luecke was arraigned Thursday in Stamford Superior Court on charges of indecent exposure, risk of injury to a child and breach of peace. He posted $10,000 bail and declined to comment.

Police say another teacher caught Luecke lying on a hallway floor and masturbating at Westhill High School in Stamford on Wednesday morning. Police say they confirmed the allegation by reviewing surveillance video.

Authorities say Luecke told them the waist clip on his pants wasn’t working properly and he had to lie down to clasp his pants.

The Stamford resident is under house arrest and was ordered to stay away from children. He’s due back in court March 27.
