HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP)- A man from Holyoke was taken to the hospital after his car launched off a snowbank in the city early Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred just after midnight at the intersection of Main Street and Cabot Street, according to Lt. Larry Cournoyer of the Holyoke Police Department.
A car went out of control at the intersection, hit and launched off a snowbank, and landed on some parked cars. In the process, the car also knocked down a traffic signal, Lt. Cournoyer said.
The man that was driving the car was taken to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance, and is expected to recover, Cournoyer said.
The driver is being charged with some motor vehicle violations.
The Holyoke Fire Department fixed the traffic signal shortly after.
