HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke Geriatric Authority workers were paid on Monday.
Union Representative Tyrone Housey told 22News the workers were paid four days late.
On Friday, Housey said the workers were told they would get two checks this Thursday. He says he doesn’t anticipate any problems with the employees getting paid on-time this Thursday.
Housey said he is satisfied that the workers have been paid, but the larger issues are the future of the Geriatric Authority and if it’s going to stay open for the long-term.
