LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A second suspect in a series of car break-ins in Longmeadow was arrested Friday in Springfield, police say.

Longmeadow Police Sgt. Robert Stocks told 22News that Angel A. Cosme, 18, of Springfield is charged with seven counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, and malicious damage to property.

According to Stack, Cosme and Billy Alicea-Cruz broke into at least seven cars, and stole items like jewelry, cash, and electronics. Alicea-Cruz was arrested on February 15, following a foot chase by police.

Longmeadow police received a warrant for Cosme’s arrest on Thursday, and he was brought into custody on Friday at his East Hooker Street home by members of the Springfield warrant apprehension team, Stack said.

Cosme will be arraigned in Springfield District Court.
