WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The West Springfield Public Library is getting a makeover, and that means that library services will be going elsewhere while that happens.
The library is currently closed and is expected to re-open its services in a temporary location on March 10th. The library’s temporary location will be at 511 Main Street, the same building where the May Institute for Child Development school is located.
The temporary library will be on the first floor of that building, located behind St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish.
The Library’s current building at 200 Park Street will undergo a $13.4 million renovation. Until the temporary location is fully operating, you can return your borrowed items to other local libraries, including those in Agawam, Chicopee, and Holyoke.
The temporary library location will be open Monday-Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., and Thursday-Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
