HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce is gathered at the Delaney House in Holyoke waiting to hear from the state’s Secretary of Transportation, Richard Davey.
Davey is expected to provide an update to the chamber on the I-91 elevated highway project in Springfield, and different high speed rail service projects.
Members of the Chamber told 22News that before the event that the elevated highway (also known as the I-91 Viaduct) is critical to Northampton because so many people live and travel between Hampden and Hampshire counties often and they’re interested in hearing what the secretary has to say about it.
