LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – As people in western Massachusetts dig out their cars to go about their business Friday morning, they will be encountering driving conditions that may be difficult in some places.
22News traveled across western Massachusetts Friday morning, and found that while major highways and main roads were generally in good shape, the same could not be said for many side roads.
We stopped on Roosevelt Avenue in Ludlow, a side street, where there was still a few inches of snow on the ground. It is just one of many secondary roads across the region that will be plowed later while crews focus on the most-traveled roadways.
In addition to the snow on side streets, another problem you may encounter on local roads is a lack of visibility. The snow removal efforts have led to large snowbanks, which can make it difficult to see traffic at corners.
Stay with 22News and WWLP.com throughout the day for the latest on road conditions as things begin to get back to normal here in western Massachusetts.
