GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) – For many Berkshire County residents, this was just another typical New England storm, but that doesn’t mean that getting around has been easy.
Many people are waking up to another 5 or 6 inches of fresh snow, on top of the heavy, wet snow we received Thursday afternoon.
In Great Barrington, plow trucks worked throughout the night to clear the main roads. Main Street has been plowed, and is passable, but still snow-covered.
Give yourself extra time Friday morning to get to where you’re going. We expect the road conditions to remain dangerous all throughout morning commute.
Things will get back to normal as the day goes on, though, and for many people in the Berkshires, the storm didn’t stop them very much anyway. Several businesses on Main Street were open throughout the worst of the storm on Thursday, and they are expected to be open again for Thursday.
