NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Across the country and right here in western Massachusetts, snow supplies are running out. 22News found out if any new shipments are on the way.
Hopefully by now, everybody who needs a shovel has one. If you don’t, Foster Farrar True Value on King Street in Northampton will be getting another shipment Friday, February 14th, and Tuesday, February 18th, but right now, snow supplies are hard to come by.
At Foster Farrar, they had a few shovels left, some rock salt, snow brushes, ice scrapers, two ice shoppers, and few snow blowers, but they ran out of roof rakes and their two suppliers have already started to shift their merchandise towards spring; focusing more on garden shovels than snow shovels.
“Due to the weather that we’ve had, especially the weather down South, some of the normal assets that we would have available to us have been diverted,” said Paul Czapienski, co-owner of the Foster Farrar.
Paul also told 22News that their shipment of snow supplies Friday will most likely be delayed because of the storm by at least several hours.
