1 hour 35 minutes
Zach Effron, Miles Teller, Imogen Poots, Michael B. Jordan
Just a word of warning. When the sex comedy “That Awkward moment” describes itself as a chick flick for guys, It’s really saying, this is just another silly romance about immature guys deathly afraid of committing themselves.
How many times have we seen that before? But male bonding and playing the game have never been quite this boring.
As the three numbskulls, Zach Effron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan have all appeared to better advantage, and hopefully they will again, in the right movies.
If they’re so childish, what does that say about the women who find them so appealing?
That promising British actress, Imogen Poots puts on her best American accent and actually rises about the unfunny material, but it’s for a lost cause.
The picture’s just loaded with awkward moments for moviegoers. It’s a bland picture targeted for shallow young men who can’t see beyond their next conquest.
Right now they’re caught up in a dismal movie that’s got little to offer anyone of any age.
“That Awkward Moment” comes when the filmmaker tires explaining to his financial backers why this lame comedy came up short with two stars.
If you think I’m exaggerating, just try sitting through this lemon.
