Stabbing victims accuse each other of robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police are investigating how two men ended up with knife wounds in two different locations Wednesday night.

According to Springfield Police Captain Trent Duda, both men were stabbed and claimed the other was trying to rob him.

One victim was slashed in the face and showed up bleeding at an East Columbus Avenue convenience store/gas station just after 9:00 P.M. Wednesday. The other was not seriously wounded and showed up at a donut shop a few blocks away.

Springfield Police Detectives went to the hospital to question the victims and figure out what happened.
