LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Light snow has been falling across much of western Massachusetts as a larger storm system has largely passed to our south.
Snow started falling before 8:00 in parts of Hampden, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties and a good dusting had already fallen by 11:30 A.M.
Due to the snowfall, the speed on the Massachusetts Turnpike has been reduced to 40 miles per hour from the New York state line to Exit 9 in Sturbridge, and no propane tankers or tandem trailers are being allowed.
22News Storm Team Meteorologist Ashley Baylor says that up to 2” of snow might fall in some areas, with less snowfall the farther north that you are. Be sure to check out the latest 22News Storm Team forecast to see if there is any more snow on our way anytime soon.
