GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP-AP) – A 19-year-old man from Deerfield is facing charges in connection with a car crash that killed an 83-year-old woman from Montague.
The Recorder reports that Aaron Stark was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Thursday to vehicular homicide by negligent operation, manslaughter, and being a minor in possession of alcohol in connection with the November crash on River Road in Deerfield.
Police say Stark’s vehicle collided head-on with a car driven by 83-year-old Celia Allen. She died before she could be taken to the hospital.
Police say it appears Stark’s car crossed the centerline.
Stark is ordered not to operate any motor vehicle, and to remain alcohol free.
