SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – While most New England Patriots fans are disappointed their team won’t playing in  this Sunday’s big game, some businesses will benefit from a Patriot-less Super Bowl.  Bars expect to do a lot of business this Sunday night.

Bar owners acknowledge that when the Patriots are playing, people tend tostay home more and attend Super Bowl  house parties.  But with two west coast teams in the big game, Sports bars are gearing up for a busy night.

“We make sure we have  full staff on.  A little more than we would normally have on a Sunday.  And then we definitely have to order more wings and pizza topping because those are the first to go,” said Keith Makarowski who manges JT’s Sports Pub on Main Street in Springfield.

Makarowski told 22News that it’s more than just expanded bar business on Super Sunday.  JT’s is also taking a lot of pre-orders of wings and pizzas for the people hosting Super Bowl house parties.
