SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) -- A Holyoke woman has been sentenced to three years' probation on charges of drunken driving that led to a man's death.
32-year old Maureen Healy was found guilty Monday of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police say Healy crashed into a parked car in front of Thomas Monahan’s house in Holyoke, flipping the vehicle. When Monahan rushed to help Healy, a second vehicle struck her car, sending it into 51-year-old Monahan, who died two days later.
A charge of negligent motor vehicle homicide against the second driver was dropped in June.
