Three men arrested for shooting in Springfield identified

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting spree in three different Springfield neighborhoods over the weekend.

Shot spotters went off at Central and Hancock Streets and later at Main and Emery Streets. 

Police Sgt. Christopher Hitas told 22News, officers stopped a black and white Accura with Connecticut license plates on Newland Street in the North End near the Connecticut River and arrested the three people in the car.

A spokesman in the detective bureau notified 22News, they arrested 20-year-old Brian Perez of New Haven, his 22-year-old brother Eliza Perez who lives on Clifford Avenue in Springfield, along with an under age teenager.

All three face weapons charges. Brian Perez, the alleged driver, has also been charged with driving without a license. No one was hurt in the alleged series of shootings.
