Police searching for stabbing suspect in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing Saturday morning out of the Hampshire County town of Plainfield.

State Police Sergeant Sean Carroll told 22News the man was stabbed around 2:30 Saturday morning at a house at 96 Windsor Pond Road, which is a private drive on the Plainfield and Windsor border.

Detectives are interviewing several people who were at the house. They say they believe there was a party going on when the stabbing occurred.

Police blocked off the drive. They had to park at least a half mile away and walk down due to extreme ice on the road.

Right now the man is recovering from stab wounds at Berkshire Medical Center. Detectives are with him there as well.
