Two supermarket employees hit by fleeing car

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Ludlow police arrested 20 year old Cote Dubay of Springfield and charged him with hit and run, and assault and battery with a motor vehicle relating to an incident Tuesday in the Big Y Supermarket parking lot.

Sgt Daniel Valadas told 22News Dubay’s car hit several people including two grocery store employees as he drove out of the Big Y parking lot late Tuesday morning.  The workers were not seriously hurt.

Sgt Valadas said the suspect had been involved in a fight with his girlfriend.

Dubay turned himself in to Ludlow Police about an hour and a half after the incident.  He was arraigned Wednesday in Palmer District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a motor vehicle), five counts, and two counts of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
