(WWLP) – Nick Bannin joined the 22News Storm Team in October of 2010. He can be seen bringing you the forecast each weekend morning and also during the week as part of the 22News Green Team.
Nick was born in Bristol, England. He then moved to Manchester, England and became a die hard Manchester United supporter. At age 4, Nick relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio. It was there that he first developed his passion for weather, winter snow storms, and spring severe weather. Nick then moved back to England, just outside of London this time, at age 7, for one final stint as a Brit. At age 9, Nick returned to the USA for good. He set down roots first in San Jose, California, and then in San Diego. Nick enjoys heading out west to see his family because it doubles quite easily as “vacation” at any time of year.
Higher education brought Nick to the Northeast where he attended Cornell University achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric Science, as well as a Minor in Applied Economics and Management. After graduation, he began his on-air career as a meteorologist for WETM-TV in Elmira, NY serving the Twin Tiers and Binghamton area.
Nick is excited to set down new roots here in the Pioneer Valley and looks forward to meeting the people of Western Massachusetts. If you see him, say, “hello!”
