MILFORD, Mass. (AP) – Prosecutors say a driver who allegedly caused a fatal ambulance crash is being charged with negligent motor vehicle homicide.
A spokesman for Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early said Wednesday that 61-year-old Lisa Zemack of Framingham also faces a charge of driving to endanger in connection with the Tuesday crash in Milford. She will be summoned to court at a later date.
Milford police said 58-year-old Karen Scott of Upton, a patient in the ambulance, died when it overturned after being struck on its right rear bumper by Zemack’s car.
Surveillance video at a nearby pizza shop captured the crash. Police said Zemack drove through a stop sign.
There was no answer Wednesday at a telephone listing in Zemack’s name. It’s not immediately known if she has an attorney.
