CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for most of Hampden and Hampshire Counties from Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. until Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
The warning is in effect for Central and Eastern Hampden County, and Central and Eastern Hampshire County.
The rest of western Massachusetts, including all of Franklin and Berkshire Counties, as well as western portions of Hampden and Hampshire Counties, are under a Winter Weather Advisory.
The main batch of the snow arrives Tuesday evening, and is done by sunrise Wednesday, but there will be some blowing snow given windy conditions at the time of snowfall.
The 22News Storm Team predicts 3-6″ for Hampden, southern Berkshire and most of Hampshire County. 2-4″ for the rest of western Massachusetts.

Snow will blow and drift with low temperatures and gusty winds overnight. Drier weather returns by Wednesday.
With the wind and the cold temperatures, a Wind Chill Advisory is also in effect for all of western Massachusetts until 10:00 Wednesday morning.
