Truck crash cleanup causing backups on Mass Pike near Worcester

AUBURN, Mass. (WWLP) – The continuing cleanup from an overnight crash involving two tractor trailers has traffic backed up on the Mass Pike westbound in central Massachusetts.

Trooper Michael Butler of the State Police barracks in Charlton told 22News that two tractor trailers were involved in the accident just before 2:00 Tuesday morning in Auburn, near the Oxford line. One of the trucks caught fire, and there was a fuel spill.

No one was injured in the crash, Butler said.

22News reporter Kait Walsh saw Mass DEP crews out in the area trying to clean it up.

All travel lanes have re-opened as of 9:45, according to Mass DOT, but a traffic backup remains in the area.
